04 Mar 21Optimism is in the air

What a difference a warm dry spell makes. With blue sky and sun on our faces suddenly everyone is that little bit happier. Optimism is in the air. The daffodils have sprung into life filling our lives with colour once again.

At the time of writing it is world book day. Or as we call it, world book week. A whole week of our Carousel nursery children running around the Hub dressed as Harry Potter and the like! The children are a key component to the recipe that is the Hub. The children bring happiness to all who pass through the Hub. In normal times they integrate with are with our older user and those with learning disabilities. All parties benefit from true intergenerational work. Hopefully with the governments roadmap we will be back again there soon.

Optimism is ringing true in other forms too. We have only this week linked up with two new partners. Budleigh Salterton and District Hospiscare care will be operating from the Hub and integrating seamlessly into model. Atlas Care will also be linking up with the Hub. They will be providing a person-centred project aimed at improving the lives of those who live with dementia. Watch this space for more information on both in the coming months.

There is optimism out there which appears to be growing with spring. It is in many forms. There is hope. We all just need to hang on in there for a little while longer.
